The Cost of Free Love

It is common for young American women to delusionally believe they are “10’s.” A popular topic for videos is some woman of average attractiveness or less insisting to an interviewer that she could have any man she wants. Surveys show the average woman wants a man in the top 10% in terms of wealth and height.

Which leaves a lot of women unmarried in their forties and wondering why no man would “step up” and produce the ring. Are modern men so afraid of responsibility? What happened to all the good men?

Little girls have always been raised with too much self-esteem: assured they are adorable. Feminism, teaching contempt for men, has not helped.

But the biggest causal factor is the modern acceptance and encouragement, since “the pill,” of casual sex. It has given women this false perception of their desirability.

After all, they have all the evidence they need that they are highly desirable. Evolutionary instincts tell men to have sex with as many women as they can. So any young woman of average attractiveness will find she has no trouble attracting attention from men who are “10’s.” Giving her the clear impression that this is her league. She will distain average men.

And she will keep waiting for that proposal that will not come.

Subtract the casual sex, and this would not happen. Not expecting sex without marriage, young men would no longer swarm women of only average looks. They would largely only pay attention to women they hoped to marry, and women would have a much better idea of their true market value and who their true suitors were. There would be less sex, and more love.

We would have more marriages, more children, a lot fewer bitter older women feeling cheated by men, and a lot fewer young men bitter towards women.

We messed up with the sexual revolution.

Dating Advice for Women

The Dating Game

Women commonly claim that they do not want to attract men. That is their business. And so we have MGTOW. But if there are any women out there who like men, I offer a few tips on how to attract that hated and despised male gaze. Because it is easy if you want to try. There is so little competition.

You see a lot of women on YouTube giving dating advice to men on how to attract women. Interestingly, you never see advice from men on how to attract men. Presumably women don’t want to know. "How dare he?"

I do it out of love for women.

First point: most men are not looking for a beautiful woman. They don’t want a ten; too high maintenance. They want a six who adores them. Concentrate on being affectionate. Hug and kiss. In society, men rarely get fussed over. They crave it.

Studies show that the rush women get by hearing “I love you” is equivalent to men merely hearing “thank you.” So simple and easy; no commitment required; yet men rarely hear it. Be appreciative.

Be cheerful. Most women seem to be cross and angry at the world, and it is depressing to be around someone who is always depressed and complaining. People want to be around people who make them happy.

On the other hand, by all means ask a man to help you with something. Give him a quest; men love to serve women. This will bond him to you. But it has to be a problem with a clear and attainable resolution. And when he solves it, show appreciation. Many women currently make a point of belittling men’s efforts in their behalf.

Do not dress too well; do not wear fancy jewelry. The dress or earring looks nice, not you. The message the man gets is, “this woman has expensive tastes; she will probably expect me to pay for it.”

The same is true of excessive makeup. Makeup is also a mask; if it is too obvious, the man gets the message that you are hiding something. Also that you have crass tastes; your concerns are superficial. You want to look nice, to show you want his attention, but still natural.

Do not show skin. That will get you sex, not care or commitment. The message the man gets is “this woman is open for business. I’m nothing special to her.”

Wear your hair long. This is profoundly seductive; hair is your greatest weapon. Simple principle: men are attracted to women, not men. The less like a man you make yourself look, the more attractive you will be.

For the same reason, wear skirts and dresses, not pants. Long skirts. Frills are better than cutaways.

Feeding a man creates a strong instinctive bond. It is too forward to invite him to your place for a meal; but bake something for him as a gift. If you are not a good cook, this is something to work on, if you want to attract and keep a man.

Don’t worry too much about your weight. Women want other women to be skinnier than men prefer. The true standard of beauty is to look healthy. Your typical runway model looks tubercular or anorexic. That said, if your waist is broader than your hips, you also begin to look unhealthy.

If you want commitment, rather than sex, do not jump into bed with him. This seems so obvious it should not need further elaboration. If you are easy with him, you will be easy with other guys. Not wife material.

It is a common misconception among women that men do not like smart women. This is completely wrong. Natural instinct and evolutionary pressures dictate that you want the smartest possible mother for your children. Being "accomplished" has always been highly valued in a wife. Cultivate and show off whatever talents you have. If you wear glasses, all the better. Men love nerdy girls, and love the thought that only they will see you with your glasses off.

That said, exceptionally intelligent women will face the same problems as exceptionally intelligent men in finding a match. Everyone is intimidated around people much smarter than they are.

You may have noticed a huge trend of American and European men marrying Asian women. This is because Asian women generally tend to follow these rules: expressing appreciation, dressing and acting feminine, trying to stay cheerful, valuing and showing their skills and intelligence.

In the West, feminism has cajoled women into making themselves as unattractive to men as possible. If that’s the way you want to go, fine. But if you want a relationship with a good man, you are going to have to resist feminism.

Why Rylie Is Unattractive

There is a lot of chatter online about Rylie, a girl whom no men were interested in on a reality-TV Mormon dating show. Women are all shocked and offended that no man was interested in her. Men are all in agreement that she was showing all sorts of red flags.

The clip is apparently from at least five years ago. That the discussion comes up now is a sign of current female alarm at men checking out of the courtship and dating scene: MGTOW.

The fact that female commentators cannot see why Rylie is unattractive shows how alienated the sexes are.

It is not that Rylie is physically unattractive. The sexes are separated by a curtain on the show—they are choosing based on her short self-introduction, not on looks.

The first red flag is that Ryan volunteers to go first. She wants to take the lead. That is unfeminine. She will expect a husband to take the back sea.

The second red flag is that she talks only about herself and her interests. She sounds self-centred and unempathic.

The third red flag is that her future plans seem to rule out settling down. She is interested in adventure and looking forward to a trip to Australia. The point of courtship is to start a family, not a fling. Especially for a religious guy.

The fourth red flag is that she has expensive hobbies: travel across the globe, scuba diving, sky diving, hosting parties. Is she expecting her husband or boyfriend to fund this?

The fifth red flag is that she likes to party—a party girl. She likes to meet new people. A man marries to have a home and a woman who is always there.

The sixth red flag is that she makes demands right up front: “someone I can trust in and is going to be there for me”; without saying anything about what she offers in return. It is all take and no give.

The seventh red flag is that she speaks with the feminist lilt: a rising intonation at the end of many sentences. This is a signal that one is not finished speaking: women who use it use it to dominate the conversation and not allow others to speak.

Remarkably, the women commentators see nothing wrong with her pitch or her attitude, and blame the men for not wanting to put their necks in her noose.

And none of them note that one of the men on the reality show was also rejected by all the women. None of them feel sorry for him, or feel he was treated badly. Showing an utter lack of empathy for men.

It all shows why so many men in the developed world are giving up on women. And why nobody is having children any more.

The Perils of Modern Dating

It was like in that painting, “Nighthawks.” Al all-night diner near the docks, an oasis of light on a darkened, empty street.

This meant she didn’t want to be seen with me. A woman like that—she was probably cheating on someone. No way she was still single.

I had my choice of tables—almost no one in the place. I chose a seat with a view of the door. I couldn’t wait: that long black hair, those pale blue eyes. They had haunted my dreams for weeks.

Okay, she was late. Of course. A woman like that has a right to be late.

I checked my phone. No messages. She did not answer at her number.

But finally the door jerked open—first a jerk, then slowly.

Why was he so bundled up? She definitely did not want to be seen with me. I wouldn’t even hve known it was her, had she not walked straight up to my table and said my name.

“Frank?”

“Maryanne?”

“There’s something I haven’t told you, Frank. I guess I need to tell you now.”

“Sit down, Maryanne. I’m a good listener.”

“You don’t have to be.”

She began to take off her wrap. I saw the long black whiskers. I saw the thick lips. I saw the eyes.

They were not blue. They were small and black, like beads embedded in her grey skin.

Her mouth opened and closed convulsively, gasping for breath an she covered the back of my hand with a moist fin.

“Frank, do you understand what this means?”

“Yes, Maryanne. Someone explained it to me at my writers’ group.”

What Men Want

Wow! Nice books!

One of the common complaints women, especially feminists, have about men is that they do not like intelligent women: “men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses,” Dorothy Parker once observed. Men, they say, are only interested in looks.

Another common complaint is that men these days are only interested in East Asian women.

These two observations are incompatible. Thanks to over two thousand years of Confucianism, which values intellect and education far more than Europe does, the average IQ among Far Easterners is higher than than that among Europeans (aka Caucasians). If European men are seeking East Asian women, they are showing a preference for smarter women.

The probable problem here is that European/Caucasian women are raised to believe they are much smarter than they really are. They are praised for everything from girlhood. They are used to being told they are wonderful, not least by men seeking their sexual favours, and so many of them come to believe that they are the intellectual equal or superior of any man.

Statistically, this is necessarily almost never so.

This can make such women, if they are not intelligent in reality, excruciatingly unpleasant for any very smart man to have to deal with for any great length of time. Unfortunately, the dumber they are, the more likely they are to believe this is the reality.

What the men crave is not a dumber woman, but a woman who is genuinely smart.

This is more or less necessarily so, if you believe in Darwin's idea of natural selection. An intelligent woman means intelligent offspring, and so a better shot at passing on the genes. THis, of course, is why a well-bred Victorian woman strove to appear "accomplished."

A woman of sufficient intelligence would realize that.
