In theory and in popular mythology, the civil rights movement elevated black men to the same status as white men. But this is not what really happened. Instead, it lowered white men to the same status as black men, and left us with a much smaller social elite: white women.

Is this what you teach?
Certainly not. The greatest benefit of being outside of Canada is that I am relatively safe from the thought police. Nevertheless, it would be an unethical abuse of my position to use it to teach my political views, however certain I am of their correctness.
I do wish teachers with left-wing opinions were this ethical, though.
