A Song of the Mad Prince Wolsan

Autumn night on the river; ripples sleep.
No fish want my bait;
Only moonlight--
The boat returns empty.

- translated from a poem by the 15th-century Wolsan Taegun, for whom Toksu Palace in Seoul was built. He was twice passed over for the Korean throne on the grounds that he was insane.

-- Stephen K. Roney
